Like many others, my copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince arrived today. My reaction to the book is behind the cut.
And if JKR and/or Warner Bros. think they're going to be getting any more of my money in the future, they are sadly mistaken. Certain parts of the book read like a fan fic. I was appalled that an author such as JKR, who so painstakingly weaved the intricate details and clues of the story overall, would somehow manage to produce certain plot bits out of thin air and completely abandon others as though they never existed.
Perhaps I should simply throw out all my Harry Potter-related things. I suddenly don't give a rat's ass about the fourth movie, nor do I care to read the seventh book. To put it very simply, I am done.
I'm going to try to avoid throwing up, and then I am going to bed.

Talking about caving to clichés. *sigh*
